Pipe Center has appointed Mark Wilson to the position of Regional Sales Manager – Industrial.
Mark will head up an expanded industrial sales team with a brief to grow new business in what is seen as a strategically important sector for the company.
He was previously Key Account Manager for London South East, responsible for large regional and national contractors.
In his new role he will cover London and the South East, including Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and the Home Counties.
“The industrial marketplace is a large and important one, with opportunities across the piece but particularly in the power industry and water utilities,” he said.
“The aim is to make Pipe Center the solution provider of choice to the industrial market place.”
The new industrial team includes Martin Bowden, who is highly experienced in the water treatment sector; George Scullion, a specialist in stainless steel products; and Trevor Raymond, an expert in plastic products.
“The skill mix across the team is excellent. It means we are able to provide customers with expert technical advice and support, whatever the material and whatever the application. The new approach is already bearing fruit in terms of new customers and orders.”
Mark will be based at West Horndon, Essex, and report to Geoff Stone, Regional Trading Director for Pipe Center and Climate Center.
